You find a peer
Browse the Startup Kin member roster and identify startups you would like to cooperate with.
Cannot find the right peer? Tell us what you need, and we will try to find a suitable member for you.
You request cooperation
Once you have a peer in mind, contact us to orchestrate the cooperation - there is no fee for this. Tell us what you need and how you can match it in return, and we will bring your offer to the other founder.
Peer founder decides
The recipient can accept, decline, or suggest an update. There is no penalty for saying no. Cooperation stays voluntary on both sides.
We record the agreement
Once both founders agree, we record exactly what each side will provide and a target completion date. This is what both founders are committing to.
Both sides deliver
Each founder is responsible for completing what they agreed to, by the date recorded.
We track completion
To ensure our community stays effective, we track commitment fulfillment. Falling short of an agreed commitment three times results in removal from the club.
What does "matching benefits" mean?
Startup Kin is based on reciprocity: we receive meaningful help from the network, and we are willing to create meaningful value for other members too.
Matching does not mean identical.
You do not have to return exactly the same kind of help you receive. Instead, the contribution you give should be reasonably comparable in effort, usefulness, or value. For example:
- A founder who receives detailed product feedback might provide detailed feedback to another startup.
- A founder who receives several beta testers might help other members test their products.
Launch support, specialist expertise, introductions, testing, and customer insight can all represent different forms of value. Before an exchange begins, founders should agree that the proposed give feels reasonable.
Startup Kin does not attempt to assign a monetary price to every contribution. The objective is fair reciprocity, not perfect accounting.

Is membership paid? +
Membership is €99/year, a launch price that will go up as the network grows. See Membership for current pricing.
Who can join? +
Pre-seed and seed-stage, tech-first startups, any sector, any location. Founders willing to give as much as they ask to receive.
Who reviews applications? +
The Startup Kin team reads every application personally. Nobody is auto-approved and nobody is auto-rejected.
Do I have to accept every cooperation request? +
No. You may decline any cooperation request with no impact on your membership.
What does matching benefits mean? +
It does not mean identical - it means your contribution is reasonably comparable in effort, usefulness, or value to what you are asking for. See the full explanation above.
How do exchanges work? +
You find a peer in the member roster, or ask us to find one for you. We orchestrate the request at no fee, the other founder accepts or declines, and once both sides agree we record what each side will provide and a target completion date.
What happens if someone does not deliver? +
We track commitment fulfillment. Falling short of an agreed commitment three times results in removal from the club.
Does Startup Kin guarantee customers? +
No. We facilitate introductions and exchanges between members, but outcomes such as customers, revenue, or funding depend on what each founder puts into the network.
Can competitors join? +
Yes - we do not exclude a sector or business model outright. We do not pair direct competitors for a cooperation exchange unless both sides opt in.
Is my contact information public? +
No. If accepted, your startup name, logo, a one-line description, and your website may be featured on this website. We never publish your name or email address - see our Privacy Policy for details.
